Senior Network Engineer

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be instrumental in bringing innovative network and security solutions to fruition. Your role will be central to the successful integration of disruptive technologies for REW customers and partners. The Senior Network Engineer must be capable of working across multiple technology domains, including solution and customer proposal development. The Senior Network Engineer will possess deep technical knowledge and solution design experience at a platform and portfolio level. The Senior Network Engineer will provide leadership of large, complex projects with a variety of components. The Senior Network Engineer must be capable of presenting strategic solutions to customers and building consensus.
In this role you will fill roles as a single contributor and/or participate as a member of a team of highly skilled engineers supporting REW consulting engagements partnering with the customer to optimize their current operating environment, modernize the future-state environment, and deliver a future-proof architecture. You will help the customer benefit from our extensive experience delivering cost savings, improving organizational efficiency, and reducing risk of the modernization journey. The REW engagement methodology incorporates automated discovery, data analytics, technology, and business acumen. We empower executive teams to gain a comprehensive view of their strategy, unlocking new opportunities to enhance their customer and colleague experience.
The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for delivery of the REW Engagement Methodology which begins by understanding where the customer is on their transformation journey, helping them navigate the complexity by adopting a strategic holistic approach. This includes optimization of their current operating environment, modernization of their future-state environment, and partnering with them on the execution of a future-proof architecture.

Optimization

The Senior Network Engineer will guide the customer through optimization of their current Network and Security infrastructure. Successful modernization initiatives begin with a solid understanding of the current state infrastructure, this is a key input to the development of roadmaps supporting short-term, mid-term and long-term business outcomes. Engagements incorporate people, process, and automation enhancements to accelerate the adoption of new business enabling technology strategies.

Modernization

The Senior Network Engineer will guide the customer through the modernization of their Network and Security infrastructure. This requires an enterprise view of current technology investments to establish a roadmap and phased new technology adoption plan aligned with customer budget and change risk appetite. REW leverages a comprehensives platform centric business-oriented approach designed to deliver secure, resilient, and cost-effective infrastructures aligned with business outcomes.

Execution

The Senior Network Engineering will perform design and implementation of the solutions architecture roadmap in partnership with customer IT teams. This is a collaborative and iterative process including a blend of agile based delivery, domain knowledge and strategic thinking to deliver comprehensive business enabling solutions.

Responsibilities

• 10+ years of Network and security experience working in the Financial Services, and/or Health Care industries.
• Experience with multiple IT technology disciplines with confirmed understanding of relevant architectural concepts.
• Experience managing engineering projects including leadership of cross discipline teams.
• Experience with engineering delivery planning, design, implementation and operation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to facilitate technical conversations with non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to influence and gain trust with business sponsors, managers and senior executives.
• Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing technology and business environment
• Ability to provide technical leadership to customers on design strategies in the respective discipline areas.
• Experience with Network architecture, engineering and solution development in the following technology discipline areas.
